Oregon Council of Teachers of English Fall Conference, live and in-person, returns Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 8:15am -3:00pm at Vose Elementary School in Beaverton, with the theme “Transformation.” Kim Johnson, author of This Is My America, will present the keynote address…and that is only the beginning!
In addition to our keynote speaker, our full day event will include multiple workshops and sessions offered by educators from around the state. Presenters will expand on the poster sessions from our spring series and introduce more ideas that you can use the next day in your own classroom.
Oregon Spirit Book Award winners will also be featured at the Fall Conference. Authors will be on hand to meet and sign books. We’ll also have several vendors and local bookstores with titles available for purchase on site.
One of the most exciting aspects of a live, in-person conference is the opportunity to meet and network with other educators from around the state. Whether you teach at the elementary or post-secondary level, you’ll find your people here!
Masks are encouraged, but not required. OCTE will have hand sanitizer and masks available for everyone.
